Senator Lea Webb Invites Students to Participate in Her 2026 Thanksgiving Day Celebration Program

SOUTHERN TIER, NY — Senator Lea Webb is announcing the launch of her 2026 Thanksgiving Day Celebration program, an initiative encouraging students to express their creativity and gratitude through original essays, artwork, or poetry. The program invites students across Senate District 52 to contribute their work to this special event.

Said Senator Lea Webb, “I encourage students to think deeply about what Thanksgiving means to them and explore these themes through their creative work. Gratitude fosters community, empathy, and appreciation. It is always important to reflect on what we are thankful for and recognize those individuals in our lives for whom we are grateful. By inviting our youngest residents to share what Thanksgiving means to them, we are uplifting what matters to the future of our community. I look forward to this program every year and am always inspired by seeing what our students are thankful for. ”

The program is open to all K-12 students in Senate District 52. All submissions will be published on Senator Webb’s official website. In addition, all participants will receive a Certificate of Recognition, signed by Senator Webb, in appreciation of their involvement.

Submissions must be submitted electronically in JPEG or PDF format by November 20, 2026. Students, educators, and families can find the submission link at: https://www.nysenate.gov/senators/lea-webb.
