Senator Lea Webb Seeking Nominations of Local Educators for the NYS Senate Educator Recognition Program
March 5, 2026
(Southern Tier, NY)– Senator Lea Webb is seeking nominations for the New York State Senate’s Annual Educator Recognition Program. The Educators Inspiring a Generation Program acknowledges and celebrates the exceptional efforts of New York educators, ahead of Teacher Appreciation Week in May. School professionals who demonstrate commitment to student success, employ innovative teaching methods, and show leadership within their educational communities can be considered for nomination. Each school may nominate one educator who will be awarded a certificate from their Senator.
Community members in Senate District 52 can nominate current educators who go above and beyond in their role. Educators selected to receive the New York State Senate Educator Recognition Award will receive a congratulatory personalized certificate from Senator Webb.
“I’m proud to launch the Educator Recognition Program to celebrate the dedication, leadership, and service of teachers across Senate District 52,” said Senator Lea Webb. “Often, teachers’ commitment to their role goes well above what is required because they care for students. This program is one small way to recognize their hard work, uplift their achievements, and encourage them to continue leading with purpose.”
All nominations must be submitted by March 31, 2026, via webb.nysenate.gov, and the nomination submission page will be taken down after that date.
