Franklin Square’s Plattduetsche Park Receives NYS Empire Award

Franklin Square, NY — Senator Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick presented the New York State Empire Award to Plattduetsche Park in Franklin Square, honoring the longtime local business for its excellence, community impact, and contributions to the local economy.

The Senator visited the business to present them with the official award and congratulate the owners.

“Rich in history dating back almost a century, Plattduetsche Park has long served as a place where culture, tradition, and community come together. Through its continued outreach and commitment to preserving heritage, it has become far more than a business, it is a true local institution. I was proud to present Plattduetsche Park with this award in recognition of their outstanding service and lasting impact on our community.” said Senator Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick.

“Plattduetsche Park has been a proud part of the Franklin Square community since 1939. It is truly an honor to serve our neighbors and friends. As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to growing together with our community and our great state!” said restaurant manager Christian Mollenthiel

The New York State Empire Award is the highest honor for small businesses that can be presented by the New York State Senate and recognizes outstanding local businesses in our community.

Plattduetsche Park, a Franklin Square staple long-known as a destination for Germanic culture and cuisine, now will forever be recognized for their contributions to the community by New York State.
