Senator Fahy Announces $50,000 for Albany Law Enforcement Resolution Team (ALERT) Partnership
October 28, 2026
ALBANY, N.Y. – Senator Patricia Fahy announced today that $50,000 in operating grant funds between 2025 and 2026 were secured through her office for the Albany Law Enforcement Resolution Team (ALERT) Partnership. Founded by Pastor David Traynham, ALERT focuses on building a collaborative relationship between the community and law enforcement with the objective of creating a peaceful, strong region. ALERT opens doors for police and residents to engage in positive dialogue, connecting community members with those who can address their concerns.
ALERT hosts a yearly Bridge Builders Award Ceremony where they acknowledge and honor the efforts of the community, police, and law enforcement who foster positive relationships. In 2025, they also hosted a Community Leader, Police, and Law Enforcement Summit featuring breakout sessions fostering meaningful dialogue and creating relationships that could last beyond the initial meetings. Most recently, ALERT hosted the 2026 Unite the County Carnival at MVP Arena over the summer. Bringing together families, local law enforcement, military personnel, and first responders, the event was an opportunity for the community to foster relationships in a fun environment.
“On behalf of the board of ALERT Partnership Inc., I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Senator Patricia Fahy for the two-year grant supporting our community and law enforcement engagement efforts,” said Pastor David Traynham, the Founder and Executive Director of ALERT Partnership. “Because relationships cannot be built during a crisis, they must be established well in advance, and the Senator’s support for our year-round efforts to build peace makes that proactive work possible. Through expanded outreach, shared events, and ongoing dialogue between residents and law enforcement, this grant will help make our community safer, more connected, and more united. We are deeply thankful for Senator Fahy’s leadership and faith in this mission. I look forward to showing the lasting impact this support will have across Albany and the Capital Region.”

“ALERT Partnership is doing the work on the ground to create safer streets and neighborhoods – bringing communities, law enforcement, and neighbors together to have robust discussions. I’m so thrilled to support this organization with a grant from my office so they can continue giving people hope and a voice,” said Senator Patricia Fahy (D–Albany). “Pastor Traynham has dedicated years to engaging our Capital Region community in difficult conversations, and in the process, he has strengthened relationships between the communities most affected by cycles of violence and law enforcement at a time when trust is needed most.”
