ALBANY, NY - Senator Rachel May proudly inducted Sergeant Jezebel McIntosh into the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame during a ceremony at the New York State Capitol, honoring her dedicated service in the U.S. Army and her decades of community involvement in Central New York.

About Sergeant Jezebel McIntosh Sergeant Jezebel McIntosh proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1999 to 2005, achieving the rank of Sergeant (E-5). During her military service, she earned multiple honors and certifications, including three Army Achievement Medals, the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and specialized training in NBC Defense, Combat Lifesaver, and Field Sanitation.
Originally from Harlem and a longtime Syracuse resident, McIntosh has called Central New York home for more than 33 years. Beyond her military service, she has dedicated herself to supporting others through mentorship, caregiving, and community service. Her lifelong commitment to helping others has strengthened her community and reflects the values recognized by the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame.
