State Senator Toby Ann Stavisky Ranked in Top 10 Percent of State Legislators on Environmental Votes

QUEENS, NY — State Senator Toby Ann Stavisky (D-Queens) was ranked among the top 10 percent of state legislators for her environmental voting record in the 2026 Environmental Scorecard released by Environmental Advocates NY.

The scorecard, available at eany.org/scorecard, rates every member of the State Senate and Assembly on environmental legislation using published criteria and public voting records.

"I want to thank Environmental Advocates NY for the work that goes into this scorecard every year," said Senator Stavisky. "It gives constituents a clear, independent look at how their representatives actually vote, not just what they say. I am glad my record reflects where I stand, and I intend to keep it there."

The record extends beyond floor votes. Senator Stavisky secured State funding for land acquisition along the waterfront in Northeast Queens. The funding supports the purchase of privately held parcels, protecting marshland that absorbs storm surges and shields surrounding homes from flooding.

Senator Stavisky has also joined shoreline cleanup efforts along the Long Island Sound and hosted electronic waste recycling events for constituents, giving residents a free and safe way to dispose of old electronics rather than sending them to landfills.

Senator Stavisky said she looks forward to continuing this work.
