Senator Krueger’s Virtual Older Adult Roundtable Series Session III - Social Security, SSI, and SSD

Thursday, November 6th 2 pm – 3:30 pm 

Over 70 million people receive Social Security. Most of us have paid into Social Security all of our lives. We rely on Social Security for stability in retirement, in case of disability, or if we lose a working spouse. Clearly, these funds are vital, particularly since half of older adults rely on Social Security for the majority of our income. Learn about the impact of the Federal budget cuts to Social Security, SSI, and SSD, what can be done to fight the cuts, and what needs to be done to keep the Social Security system solvent for the future.
