STOP the SUNY Tuition Hike!

The Governor claims this year’s budget will continue to maintain low costs and stable tuition rates across SUNY campuses, but unfortunately that is not what the fine print says. Currently, the Governor’s budget proposal would allow the four SUNY research universities – Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, Stony Brook – to increase their tuition by 30% over the course of five years for in-state students while all other SUNY institutions could increase their tuition by 3% this fall. If we want to prepare our young people to study, work and live in New York, we can start by making sure they can afford a quality SUNY education. We must say NO to this budget proposal – NO to a SUNY tuition hike!
