I strongly support the Taxpayer Rescue Act introduced by Steve Rhoads—delivering the largest middle-class tax cut in New York history.

New Yorkers are facing the highest tax burden in the country, the highest per-capita taxes, the highest combined income tax rates, and some of the highest corporate tax rates. Our state ranks second in the nation for regulations, third for auto insurance costs, and fifth for health insurance costs, making it harder than ever to afford to live and work here.

 

This plan provides real, lasting relief by eliminating state income tax on the first $50,000 for individuals and up to $100,000 for families, putting thousands of dollars back into the pockets of hardworking New Yorkers every year. 

 

We don’t need temporary fixes—we need real change. It’s time to let New Yorkers keep more of what they earn.
