A Message From Senator Terry Gipson

Terry Gipson

December 18, 2014

Dear Friends,

As my term as your State Senator comes to an end, I thank you for the opportunity to serve you and our Hudson Valley community. I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish over the past two years.

We introduced landmark legislation to reduce the cost of living and to create new jobs. We helped build new infrastructure and increased funding for our public schools. We helped Veterans and their families, senior citizens and students, and victims of Lyme disease, child/elder abuse and domestic violence. We aided those with developmental disabilities, and we even helped build a community playground for our children.

I am incredibly proud of the work that my staff and I have done in such a short period of time, especially assisting many thousands of constituents with the everyday issues facing them and their families. We took our jobs very seriously, and we did our best, every day, to make a difference in the lives of everyone in Dutchess and Putnam counties. We will all miss working for you and advocating on your behalf.

“Let no one be discouraged by the belief there is nothing one person can do against the enormous array of the world's ills, misery, ignorance, and violence. Few will have the greatness to bend history, but each of us can work to change a small portion of events. And in the total of all those acts will be written the history of a generation.”

                                                                                               Robert F. Kennedy

There is still much work to do and much to fight for. I hope to see you out there.

Sincerely,

Terry Gipson
New York State Senator, 41st District
