SENATOR GIPSON’S STATEMENT ON REDC FUNDING AWARDED TO DUTCHESS AND PUTNAM COUNTIES

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – New York State Senator Terry Gipson (D-Dutchess, Putnam) issued the following statement on the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Council’s decision to award $7,955,900 million in economic development grants in Dutchess and Putnam counties. “I commend the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council for continuing to make significant investments in Dutchess and Putnam counties. These economic development grants are vital in spurring economic growth and the creation of good jobs in our communities.

“Advocating on behalf of Dutchess and Putnam counties throughout the REDC process this past year and my entire term has been a top priority of my office. I believe that our region is a crucial part of our state’s economic future and I remain committed to ensuring our place at the table when it comes to securing smart investments in our local economy and creating local jobs.”
