 AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to the establishment of a
   veteran career assistance program within the SUNY and CUNY systems
 
   THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section  1. The executive law is amended by adding a new section 353-b
 to read as follows:
   § 353-B. VETERAN CAREER ASSISTANCE. THE DIRECTOR,  TOGETHER  WITH  THE
 CHANCELLOR OF THE STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK AND THE CHANCELLOR OF THE
 CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK, SHALL ESTABLISH A VETERAN CAREER ASSISTANCE
 PROGRAM.  SUCH  PROGRAM SHALL PROVIDE VETERANS WITH ASSISTANCE IN RESUME
 WRITING AND EMPLOYMENT PLACEMENT SERVICES. THE PROGRAM SHALL  BE  DEVEL-
 OPED AND MAINTAINED WITH RESOURCES ALREADY AVAILABLE TO THE DIVISION AND
 THE  UNIVERSITY  SYSTEMS  INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, CAMPUS VETERANS
 SERVICE OFFICES, CAREER CENTERS, AND OPPORTUNITY CENTERS.
   § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
 it shall have become a law.
