Albany - Today, Senator Liz Krueger released a letter to Governor Kathy Hochul and DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos signed by 43 state legislators urging the NYS DEC to deny Title V air quality permits to the proposed Danskammer and Astoria NRG fossil fueled power plants. The letter argues that these new plants are not permitted under the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act passed by the Legislature in 2019.
