Lawmakers try again to restrict sale of diet pills to minors
June 27, 2023 – In 2022, Gov. Kathy Hochul vetoed legislation restricting minors from purchasing over-the-counter diet pills and supplements. The measure has made its way through the state legislature again and has been tweaked in response to the governor’s concerns, according to Sen. Shelley Mayer, a Westchester County Democrat .
