Letter: Senator Helming Calls on Verizon and Frontier to Protect Reliable Phone Service in Rural Communities
October 7, 2026
I've heard from residents who are concerned about losing their telephone service as Verizon and Frontier move away from traditional landlines. I've sent the following letter asking both companies how they plan to protect existing customers, ensure continued access to 911, and provide reliable replacement service. No household should be left without a dependable way to call for help.
