Mayor Mamdani is proving what we all knew all along. His careless dismissal of adults throwing chunks of ice and rocks at our NYPD officers doing their jobs during a historic snow storm is a slap in the face to the entire NYPD and their families. This was not simply a “snowball fight” as the Mayor callously remarked. A true Mayor leads by example. As a former Mayor and retired  police officer, I will always stand with my brothers and sisters laying their lives on their line to uphold public safety.
