Supporting Justice, Dignity and Hope
Legal Services of the Hudson Valley’s (LSHV), Equal Access to Justice Gala at the Greentree Country Club Wednesday, Sept. 17, was a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when a community comes together in support of justice, dignity, and hope.
New York State Senator Shelley B. Mayer, Jane Sovern, Louis V. Gerstner Jr. and the Gerstner Philanthropies team were recognized for their extraordinary commitment to advancing justice, and gratitude was extended to Sean Brady, whose nine years of service on the Board of Directors made a lasting impact on LSHV’s growth and stability.
LSHV is able to continue providing free, comprehensive legal services to those who need it most across the Hudson Valley because of the support it receives. In 2024 alone, more than 12,000 legal matters, touching the lives of over 21,000 individuals across the seven-county region were addressed.
CEO Rachel C. Halperin said, “Because of you standing with us we are building a future together where justice is not a privilege, but a right.”
