State Sen. Rob Rolison and fellow members of the Senate Republican Conference are urging Gov. Kathy Hochul to include two utility relief measures in the final state budget [...]

One bill, S.8463, sponsored by Rolison, proposes a one-year holiday on utility taxes and surcharges, along with a two-year suspension of the green energy gas tax.

“New Yorkers are looking for relief they can actually feel in their monthly bills,” Rolison said in a statement, adding that the proposals are “practical, targeted, and ready to go.”
