Queens, NY, February 5, 2013 -- NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. (D-Queens), released the following statement on the preliminary response & recovery report issued by the NYS Senate Bipartisan Task Force on Hurricane Sandy, of which he is a member:
I believe the recommendations of this report correspond to the needs expressed by my constituents. Whether it be the residents or business owners, many people are seeking assistance from the federal funding coming to our state. This report provides an initial roadmap on how to provide that assistance. Since there is still so much more work to do, I look forward to working with my colleagues in government in seeking the means necessary to obtaining relief in the quickest possible manner.
