"I look forward to exploring the details of the vision for our state presented by Governor Cuomo at his State of the State on Wednesday. His ambitious policy plans and budgetary proposals must be evaluated along with doing what is best for my constituents and the state. I agree with the Governor as he stressed the need for fiscal responsibility, creating jobs, assisting small businesses, tax cuts for homeowners and renters, continuing mayoral control of our schools with improvements and overall progress for the education of our children. I understand that much negotiation will occur as we search for the means to those end goals.”
