Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr., in partnership with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, sponsored a rain barrel giveaway in Rockaway on Saturday, July 23. With this most recent event, Addabbo has now given away more than 1,000 rain barrels in his district since April. The Senator thanked Karen Ellis and DEP for working with his office on this event as well as Rev. Richard Ahlemeyer and the St. Camillus parish for allowing the event to be held there.
