This past weekend, State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. held the first Java with Joe event, meeting with constituents and speaking about issues of concern in the community. The event is also meant to promote small businesses and Addabbo thanked Dorothy, the owner of the Flower Power Coffee Shop NYC on Myrtle Avenue in Glendale, and her daughter Destiny, for hosting the event and donating a portion of the proceeds to TEAM for Kids, a children’s health program through NYC Roadrunners.
