Addabbo honors memory of those that died in Flight 587 crash in Belle Harbor 19 years ago

“Today marks another tragic anniversary for our city when 19 years ago, American Airlines Flight 587 crashed in Belle Harbor,” said State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. “Our city was still reeling from the attacks of September 11th, and having another plane crash was devastating. On this 19th anniversary, we continue to pray for the souls of the 260 people on the flight, as well as the 5 Rockaway residents on the ground who died that day, and remember those that they left behind.”
