Addabbo mourns the death of a Far Rockaway firefighter

“It is with great sadness that we mourn the death of Firefighter Jesse Gerhard, a 33-year-old man in the prime of his life. Gerhard lost his life a day after battling a two-alarm fire, saving the lives of four people in the process. His spirit will live on with his family and the men and women of the FDNY, especially those at Ladder Company 134 where FF Gerhard bravely served the Far Rockaway community for the last two years.”
