Dozens upon dozens of people lined up outside of the Woodhaven District Office of NYS Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. to receive services from the MetroCard Van which was parked outside on October 29, 2025. 

The MetroCard Van offers the following services: apply for Reduced-Fare or get help with an application; get more information about OMNY and sign up; transfer value from MetroCard (full-fare or Reduced-Fare) to an OMNY card; report a lost/stolen Reduced-Fare MetroCard; ask the team about any OMNY-related issues; or add money to an OMNY card.

“I am so glad that my constituents came out in droves to receive these important services that are provided at the MetroCard Van,” Addabbo said. “It is important for me to bring vital resources like this to the community.”

Senator Addabbo hosts the MetroCard Van twice a year, once at his Middle Village Office and once at his Woodhaven Office. Occasionally, he will also bring the van to a local senior center.

“I think this is the largest crowd we have ever had at one of our MetroCard Van events,” Addabbo said, citing increased interest in OMNY services.
