Senator Joseph P. Addabbo Jr. hosted a successful Job Fair at Aqueduct Racetrack on November 14, 2025. The attendance of nearly 500 job seekers demonstrated the impact of rising unemployment combined with those looking for a first job and others wanting a career change. Some 70 vendors from diverse industries such as technology, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and finance participated.
The Job Fair provided direct access for local residents to match with available job openings, advancing Senator Addabbo's mission to develop local economic growth through job creation. The event allowed participants to meet industry professionals, distribute their resume, and conduct on-site interviews while building professional relationships.
“The strong turnout demonstrates an individual’s resilience and drive,” Senator Addabbo said. “It was truly inspiring to witness the energy of job seekers and the commitment of numerous companies and organizations in providing meaningful work options.”
Senator Addabbo remains committed to driving economic development and supporting the local workforce. He will continue to seek out opportunities for job creation and ensure that residents have access to meaningful employment.
“The success of this job fair and the enormous attendance is great, but it’s not all about the numbers, it’s about making a significant impact in people’s lives, giving them hope and trying to help a person financially support themselves and their families,” Senator Addabbo said. “It motivates me to continue to have events like these in the future; always bringing the best of the workforce to the top employers. I am truly grateful for the hard work of my office team, as well as our partners at NYRA/Aqueduct Racetrack, Resorts World Casino and the Queens Chamber of Commerce for their invaluable contributions to this event."
