SUFFOLK, NY - Senator Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick along with members of the New York State Senate Republican Conference led a roundtable discussion focused on addressing the issue of affordability in New York State. This affordability roundtable is the latest in a series hosted by members of the Senate Republican Conference in regions across the state while New Yorkers continue to struggle to keep up with skyrocketing costs due to out-of-touch policies stemming from Albany.
With housing, energy and utility prices, insurance costs and child care being the most burdensome mandates— New York is in the midst of a crisis. Throughout today’s discussions, Senators Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick, Gallivan, Palumbo, Rhoads, Murray, Mattera, and Weik listened to the concerns of the public and community stakeholders to assist in determining solutions to provide relief for New Yorkers.
“New Yorkers are being pushed to their limits, and today’s discussion made clear just how urgently residents and local businesses need relief. Families are struggling, employers are feeling the pressure, and too many people believe their concerns are going unheard. Our job now is to take the information we learned today and transform policy in Albany to fight for real, commonsense solutions that will allow our residents and businesses to thrive,” said Senator Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick.
