"All children deserve to attend school in a safe, welcoming environment where they are treated with dignity and respect. New York State law provides protections so that every student – regardless of race, gender identity, income, ability, or immigration status – can be safe, supported, and given the resources needed to thrive. The Trump Administration’s decision to rescind funding from New York City Public Schools over their policies to protect trans students runs counter to that goal and will harm all students in our schools."
