ADT Bikes has a great team.

Addabbo, Jr. visited Arc De Triomphe Bicycles, located at 114-01 Jamaica Avenue in Richmond Hill, on April 30, 2026, to recognize its long history of service to the community and its important role in the community. During the visit, Senator Addabbo presented owner Russell Alonzo with a formal acknowledgement to mark Arc De Triomphe Bicycles inclusion in New York State’s Historic Business Registry.
“I am proud to recognize Arc De Triomphe Bicycles for its long history and its continued status as a well-known local business,” Addabbo said. “This family-owned business has been a staple in our community for fifty years, and I congratulate owner Russel Alonzo for keeping this beloved tradition alive and being recognized by New York State for its longevity.”

ADT Bicycle started off as Arc De Triomphe Bicycles, which opened in 1975 and was founded by Rudolf Alonzo. It embraced BMX, skateboards, and changing cycling trends. In the 2000s, it departed from a pure bike shop to include a robust skate department. It was around 2010 that the store changed its name to ADT Bike & Skate Shop to reflect its expanded focus on both bikes and skate culture.
Since 2002, it has been managed by Rudolf’s son Russell, with involvement from Jose Polanco (service manager since the mid-90s) and a family-and-community-driven team. It is well known as a local hub for cycling and skating culture, serving riders of varying disciplines and generations, including BMX, mountain biking, and everyday commuting. It offers bike sales/repairs, skate gear, and a staff with deep ties to the local riding community.
