Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. has partnered with The Lovely Beans and Puppy Kitty NYC, two non-profit animal rescue groups, to host a pet food drive, collecting new cans and bags of cat food and dog food, which can be dropped off at each of his district office locations – 84-16 Jamaica Avenue in Woodhaven or 66-85 73rd Place in Middle village – during regular business hours from April 13th to May 29th.

"Our goal is to help as many animals in need as possible and remind us that pet care is a long journey, not a momentary act,” Addabbo said. “If we commit to it, we must honor the trust animals place in us and spare them the pain of abandonment that no creature deserves."

Upon completion of the drive, the collected items will be given to The Lovely Beans in Richmond Hill and Puppy Kitty NYC in Middle Village, to be distributed appropriately throughout the city to help animals in need, and facilitate each organization’s mission to save homeless, sick, and dying animals.
